December 7, 20214 yr comment_277385 Would hydrogen be a good cleaner for these boards and then reapply a good coat of mineral oil? Especially if you process any animals or anilmal products on the board. Give it a good coat of hydrogen and wait until all the bubbles go away, wipe it down with soapy water and apply the peroxide a second time to kill any residue. Or will peroxide break down or damage the glue? Report
December 7, 20214 yr Popular Post comment_277397 Peroxide would be a good cleaner (a guess on my part, it is a great disinfectant). But it will damage boards very much the same way as water, so no soaking. Report

December 8, 20214 yr Popular Post comment_277453 Unlike cutting boards, serving board finishes could be of the water resistant type. I.E. Poly, Lacquer, etc. Just don't allow anyone to confuse a bread board with a cutting board. As Paul intimated, a dishwasher safe cutting board, OTOH, being generally white in color, should aid in the selection process. Report
December 8, 20214 yr Popular Post comment_277481 The subject of wooden and plastic cutting boards comes up regularly. Fact is wood is safer than plastic. Here are a couple articles. I am at work and could not find the article I usually post on the subject: Is-wood-or-plastic-cutting-board-better-safer Fast Facts About Cutting Boards and Food Safety in Your Kitchen Report
December 27, 20214 yr comment_279309 The only one I ever did was for a toy box. I made each board into tongue and groove including the ends. That was 8 years ago and the 2 girls climb on that lid and jump. Wood is poplar Report
