What are some of the best places online to buy 4/4 lumber. I have bought from Ocooch but am wondering what others are out there.

I've bought from Bob Kloes in the past, he used to be a Patriot Woodworker and he is a wonderful craftsman too. Absolutely drop dead Gorgeous hand selected lumber.

He's a great guy too. And it's a great way to support the independent Sawyer.

All our lumber comes to us directly from the north woods of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan where the warm summers and...

Depends on what you want . I bought from Keim lumber and was happy with what we got in 8/4 . I presume you want turning wood. They will cut it so that the UPS rates are cheaper for 4 foot lengths.

Actually I am looking for lumber to make end grain cutting boards.

Not sure where you live in WV but if it's in the panhandle, you might consider a trip to the Hicksville Lumber Mill in MD.

We love it here. My wife and I were both born and raised in the SF Bay Area. We moved to WV in 1996. We were able to take the equity from our house there and pay cash for a house here. Houses are very reasonable. Property taxes are very reasonable. It is very laid back and stress free. If we want to go shopping in the big city Columbus Ohio is only 2 hours away, Cincinnati is 3 hours, Amish Country 1.5 hours and Pittsburgh 2.5 hours. We live in Parkersburg. Go to Realtor.com and check out property and houses. Winters aren’t bad here. It gets cold but not much snow. Most snow storms here are 2 to 4 inches and there aren’t that many. It is 27 degrees this morning but being retired I don’t have to go out if I don’t want to. Here are a few examples. You can buy a very nice house for $150,000 to $200,000. Property taxes on a $200,000 house will be around $1,100 a year. Gas for a car is $3.16 a gallon. My gas for the house is $40 a month, electric $140 a month and water $21 a month.

It is also very gun friendly here.

I've never lived there (WV) but I've driven through it and flew over it a few times...it is certainly a beautiful state.
