Is there an auto mechanic who happens to be wanting to expand his expertise

who likes to walk among the wood workers for more knowledge as he says he is a great repair man of the auto so he wants to expand his expertise.....but I just saw an e-mail with this attached?????

   Could this be his calling card and who is that mechanic?

Someone rounded over the drain plug getting it out and used a spark plug of the same thread size to cobble one up.

I would call that inventive but counter productive for what can be an easy fix.

If I had a rack tied up and wanted to move the vehicle while waiting for the part, yup I'd do it. Getting parts can be a hours long experience.

It's a plug that does the job. Why not, as a temporary solution.

Sounds OK to me, as long as it's only a ground wire.
