Thanks Gene. One of these days I would like to convert my woodshop walls to cleat system. Unfortunately that is on the long list not the short one.

I ran into a problem with mounting my old man’s visual aid ( magnifying glass). When I clamped it to a regular cleat attachment it would lift off the wall when I tried to move it so I needed to come up with a cleat thingy that actually clamped to the cleat on the wall. This is what I came up with. I also made some walnut boxes. Not sure what they are for yet but it will dawn on my addlepated mind eventually. Maybe make some lids and use for Xmas presents ?

That is quiet a idea for the lamp. Also nice boxes, if they are long enough a wine bottle may be a good filler.

Love that cleat modification.  Great idea.  

Thanks Gerald. These are too small for wine bottles but not a bad idea to make a few for presents. For my friends I might be able to fit a medium size bottle of Geritol in these though.
