Knee still bad, 7 more weeks until a follow-up, to see WHAT they will do to FIX it....all the while, the knee is getting worse... September 14, 20214 yr Popular Post Today, 9/14, is Phyl's birthday. Her 73rd. We'll go out for Sushi and Sashimi for lunch. No cake and ice cream. Low key observance. But for fun, after lunch, we'll head over to HD to return some irrigation supplies and pick up some more. All that celebration will likely require some R&R, i.e. a nap. That will about shoot this Tuesday for us old folks.
September 14, 20214 yr Popular Post No idea what Sashimi is, but I know sushi will never touch my lips, regardless I wish here a happy BDAY! Now she's as old as I am. Yesterday for us was a trip to the podiatrist. As if Marie didn't have enough going on with her stomach polyp, now she's growing a bone spur on her big toe.....more surgery, maybe. Covid may interfere with the elective stuff (again).

September 14, 20214 yr Popular Post Steve, thanks for getting a Monday topic up, I completely missed it myself, got called out to mom board and care facility this morning, called into work sick to be there. For now all is well and stabilized, we are in a position now that we are working on getting her home with a 24/7 caregiver, she'll be so happy to be in her own home, we are excited for her. As far as woodworking goes I have projects backed up in my shop, still have a desk my son and I started a long time ago that needs to be finished, and wife's storage cabinet, just haven't been able to get out there and complete those projects, life has taken over and kept me out of my shop. But, that's life right! As humans, we plan, and God laughs.

Folks who have never caught a fresh Yellow Tail Tuna and sliced it up on deck minutes after being caught and served it with ice cold beer, may not appreciate it, but fresh fish, does not smell like fish and has a wonderful fresh scent and taste to it, thinly sliced Yellow Tail fresh from the ocean, is wonderful! It's funny, I don't like Sushi myself, but Sashimi I can do.

I am so sorry about your furred family member, having just gone through this last year, with two of our doggies, I know what it's like as many of us do, it's hard, since they were so much a part of our daily lives, it's as if some of our life's memories go with our dogs as they leave us.

They are sweet, slightly salty and don't taste anything like those packaged ones you buy at the grocery store. Now I just made myself hungry!!!
September 14, 20214 yr Popular Post I am not a fan od sushi but I did eat my first on vacation with oldest son in Destin this year. With guidance from DIL on what to avoid and how to eat it wasn't too bad. Not that I plan to eat anymore. We vacation with friends from S Louisiana and they will not eat fish if away from the coast.
