July 9, 20214 yr Popular Post So, for the third and final time I am retired. The first "retirement" was in 2004 when I retired from the National Guard, but I wasn't fully retired, just transferred to the retired reserve where I could have been recalled to service. The second "retirement" was two years ago, I was fully retired from the military, retirement pay started and I could no longer be recalled to service. Last Thursday was my official retirement as far as SS is concerned. The boss took the whole crew to lunch and gave me a card (signed by the crew) and a bonus check. Now I can relax and work on projects of my choosing I am still setting up at the local farmers market, selling my scrollsaw items. So I doubt that I will be bored, so many ideas, so little time .

OH, by the way, After I retired, I often wondered how I ever had time to go to work. That was certainly true for me as well. I had colleagues who didn't want to retire because they didn't know what they would do. (Huh???) Anyway, a big congrats!

July 10, 20214 yr Popular Post ... I actually used to get more things done when I was still working. Now everyone thinks since I'm retired I have more time to do their stuff. I've gotten to the point if I don't recognize the number calling I don't answer.
