The results of saving 40 pallets from the crusher.

For some reason, the pic won't rotate.

About half are oak. Some slats are 3/4. Made for some HEAVY pallets.

All nails in the oak ones were spiral nails. Had to use the saws all on 'em.

Should be enough to cover that 40' long wall. That is if I can get them loose from the ceiling.

Wow Gene, Levitation is not something everyone can accomplish.

Had a little help from Samsung and Win10. Lack of tech savvy probably helps, too.  :BangingHead:

Beyond all doubt, that is most clever lumber storage setup I've ever seen. I may have to get a Win10 computer and try to duplicate it.

That's a nice stack of lumber Gene.  Did you have to buy them or were you able to get them for hauling them off?

Every one needs to deal with pallets at least one time in their lives. My one time was when I was moving here to retire. I had about fifty pallets stored at the track and did have a small fork lift so we both had pickups and trailers so I would take a few days stacking things on the pallets and delivering all my stuff that way to the lake. I had a big door on the 40 x 60 foot building so I could load every thing just fine but only had a door 4 foot wide here and was gonna build a drive in door later so that meant unloading out side and carrying every thing inside.. We came every other day so I was not here when she was. But we finally got all the stuff moved, the pallets were in the way so I started trying to save all the lumber like you Gene and I swore that would be the last time touching a pallet, ever!

Freebies. Got them at a Waste Management facility that grinds up wood products for mulch. We pulled them off a jumbled stack that was probably 20' high and 60-80' long and, who knows how deep.

I'm definitely done with pallet busting! Glad we got done what we did, but NO MORE!

The last forklift dealers I worked for got a lot of forklift attachments for them from a supplier in Oregon.  Some times the pallets were Cherry, Walnut or other desirable species and I would save them.  The larger attachments came on Poplar pallets and would have some 4"X4" pieces and 8 quarter boards in them.  I saved them too.

Yeah, me too.  Spent a couple sweaty days busting up pallets for some wood that was not even all that good.  Ended up as a poultry run on an experiment with guinea fowl that failed.

Got it all down within reach.  You won't have to stretch so high up now, Gene.  Looks good.

Thanks Steven. How did you do that?

Gene, ask no quesions and I'll tell no lies.  LOL

Copied it to my laptop, pasted it into Irfanview, rotated it to the left twice, saved and posted it.  Irfanview is a free application for editing, resizing and all that for photos.  I reduce all my phone pictures to 640 X 480 pixels before posting.

@FlGatorwood, thanks buddy! I guess I'll start using Infranview again. I've gotten lazy...lazier? Lately.

Gene, no problem.  I didn't want you having to use the fork lift every time you wanted a board.  :D  If and when you can't get a pic to work for you, please let me know and I will try to get here to correct it for you.
