Just turned this beads bowl this afternoon from magnolia. It turned well . This is an endgrain hollowing and I forgot to put CA on the pith so got a little crack I found when I took it off chuck. 

The tools in the picture are what I used plus  a 5/8 bowl gouge.

That should help ease the treatment discomfort for some young person. Really like the bead/rings.

Yeah, I’m having trouble with getting thin,too! OH! You meant something else. (Now you know why my wife says I’m not as funny as I think I am  )

Another great looking project, Gerald! 

Thin is a state of mind and it works well for some pieces but for others such as a burl it is not only very difficult to accomplish may not look as good either.
