It's certainly been nice to see my own progress in this one. Feeling more confident with some aspects these days. Still a way to go, which will probably never end, but I'm happy with it so far.

Danl No Danl, you're right on the money, Keith went for a house for the cats, but it is a litter tray cabinet. Well done! The portion on the right is for storage. I have mounted the shelf on the middle for the tray to sit on, which will slide out. And a half=length shelf in the storage area to divide the space. I created the template for routing out the "ladder" for the entranceway and hope to make that today and finish it, and that will be the main cabinet done. All that will be left is the legs.

So it's a 1BR, 1 Ba cat house, then?? Storage unit included.

May 19, 20215 yr Author Popular Post It was my first time making "tapered" legs. Just a simple taper, but I'm pleased with the results. Made a simple jig to do them which helped.
May 20, 20215 yr Popular Post I don't usually say this to fellow woodworkers but, Nice legs, Steve. Edited May 20, 20215 yr by Gene Howe
May 20, 20215 yr I am curious. The wood in the stretchers, did you laminate it or is it something you can purchase down there?

Hi Gerald It's prelaminated - offcut from larger sheets from a different project (round table if I recall correctly, circa 2018/2019) that we can purchase from our local big box. I can't claim that good a lamination
May 22, 20215 yr That is about the most elaborate litter tray cabinet I've ever seen (maybe the only one as well ). Nicely done, and a lucky cat!

May 22, 20215 yr Author Popular Post Well thank you gents. It is pretty fancy, but it was a good way to keep practicing skills with a purpose in mind. And since my wife really wanted to hide the tray, we had to come up with an option with WAF (wife appreciation factor) suitable.
