February 16, 20215 yr Popular Post Guy wanted a sign for a shop that did craft shows. Had to be solid since it would be moved a lot. He emailed me a pic of the logo. Carved from a piece of Corafoam and glued (Titbond Ultimate) in the solid maple frame. Acrylic paint and sprayed with Rustoleum 2X semi gloss.
February 16, 20215 yr John, I'm sure you have a satisfied customer. Please tell us more about the use of Corafoam. Do you use it frequently? I see it is pricey. Danl
February 16, 20215 yr Author Popular Post It's made by Duna, US HQ in TX. Main plant in MI. Is made for oil and gas industry. Sign people just picked up on it. Paints and finishes great. Doesn't warp or rot. Very hard to break. Can get it up to 4" thick. Pricey? Not cheap but no waste. Comes in 4 x 8 sheets. Sign people up here use it instead of wood. Painting with 100% acrylic latex (the good stuff) and guaranteeing it for 10 years. Have to prime it before finishing cause it is an awful geen color (the background for the Green Goose sign). Just another tool in the war chest.
