February 8, 20215 yr It may still be too cold to walk out to the shop, but I have a couple of frame that need finished and the picture/print mounted. If I ever get them out of the shop I may start on something else.

February 8, 20215 yr Popular Post Dr.'s appt. at 10:00. 40 mile drive. then, pick up some sanding supplies. get home around 13:00. Then start sanding posts and beams on patio and front porch, prep for paint. We ain't doing it. Around 90X16 and around 9' high is well out of our endurance level. Tuesday, move a bunch of stuff from shop to another covered area to make room for continued demo and construction of a lumber rack. Wednesday, back at the kitchen backsplash job. About another 20' with 3 electrical boxes in the way. Hopefully, Friday will see a return to the shop project.
February 8, 20215 yr Popular Post Got all the pieces made, dry fitted and minor kinks worked out. 3 racks along the 3 walls. Should hold 23 cans of 1 gal size containers and 18 of the 1 qt containers. All in a nice climate controlled environment. Now for finishing work.
February 8, 20215 yr Popular Post It’s back on the media room for me. I will need to replenish the maple and walnut supply sometime this week. I will also start wiring all the light panels up. Paul

February 8, 20215 yr Got the coffee bar glued up and drawer sides milled. So I guess it is on to building drawers today. That and dreaming of more room around the lathe. Guess I will be selling the Jet 1442 to make some legroom.

February 9, 20215 yr Popular Post Finished the rocking chair today. The stain didn't buff out to match the rest of the chair, so had to apply about 3 coats of poly. Sanded with 600 grit and then applied Minwax finishing paste wax. Looks pretty good. I didn't sand out all the history. I basically covered the nicks, scratches and other damages. The widow neighbor was so happy. She said it looked new, but it didn't. She's happy and I have some space in the garage. Back to the mortar repairs on the house.
