January 3, 20215 yr Popular Post comment_253484 Ok in a different thread I posted a picture of my handmade emblem. I have come up with a few different ones. I would like to know which one people like most. I think I like number three best. Report
January 3, 20215 yr Popular Post comment_253486 I like both the first one and third one. Probably go with the third one, it seems more personal, especially if you could impose your own profile into it. Report
January 4, 20215 yr comment_253532 I would say 1. Three does not have a specific relation to wood and he could be a blacksmith or carpenter doing beam work. Look at this design which is our club logo but may give you ideas relating to turning. Note the shaving. Edited January 4, 20215 yr by Gerald Report
January 4, 20215 yr comment_253567 IMO - simpler is better. What I see in your post is on a computer screen and the designs are about 7-8". They look fine, but shrunk down to 2" on the bottom of a bowl, or even smaller and you've lost a lot of detail. On some projects you may not even have room for the whole "Handmade by" outer ring and just the inner portion should be sufficient. Also consider what it might look like much larger; you may want a decal on your truck, or a larger sign to put up at a craft booth or just to display. When you look around at the company logos of products you are familiar with, logos you can identify the company even without the name in them - they are all "simple" designs. January 8, 20215 yr Author comment_254021 I cleaned up the face a little on the man and added one with a scroll saw. Report
