The replacement new lathe arrived today, this time intact. A little rearranging the shop and four guys to help me and we managed to get it set up and running.

Ooops Sweet

Really nice, Paul.  The length of stock looks like it would accept the same length as the Shopsmith.  But, it appears that the swing is larger.  Looking forward to see how you like this taller machine.  Merry Christmas!

Very nice.  A lot better than than the Shop Smith when turning big items.  I think your wife and son did well.

She has already been out there with a tape measure to see how big of a table top I could turn.

Outboard. She has been wanting a large turned table for a while now. Its still going to be a while 😎

That is one NICE lathe! Looking forward to hearing how it compares to your old one and what you like best about it!

Right now want a complete report. If it turns as good as it looks will be really good. Too bad it took so long to get one intact.

I ENVY your shop space, vacuum system and especially your lathe.  Have fun!
