December 8, 20205 yr Popular Post I had a very small perfect 4 sided angular scrap piece. (the bottom part) It laid in my scrap box for a long time and the more I looked over it the more I wanted to make an ornament out of it. I did turn the small centerpiece and cut the top angular piece. That top piece was a real challenge. The whole ornament isn't much more more than 4" long. I cut most angles on the table saw, using small clamps to secure it and cut safely. After all that it did come out nice, but a bit ugly and lacking Christmas colors. Maybe an ugly frozen ornament crystal Something a woodworker appreciates, not so much for others.
December 10, 20205 yr Certainly unique and I do like it. But, I won't get my fingers that close to the rotating saw blade.
December 10, 20205 yr Thanks Ron, you just now reminded me I was working on that type of ornaments when I got that hat rack to repair then put the ornaments up somewhere and forgot all about them. I got this picture but haven't found them yet but now I got this red wood thingy that has about 25 coats of paint on it and it still needs more. Maybe I put them in that plastic sack? I was trying to make it look like I carved them out of one piece of wood. But you can't fool everyone!
