November 16, 20205 yr Popular Post I used a slide rule adapted for artillery fire calculations in Viet Nam. A few years ago I talked to a modern artillery soldier. He said they still must learn to use those old slide rules as a backup to the modern electronic devices.
November 17, 20205 yr Good to know at least they do have a backup system. We used to have backup manual typewriter for Pharmacy label and now have none.
December 22, 20205 yr Back ups for electronic devices are more electronic devices. All can be hacked, codes broken and everything copied or destroyed in milliseconds.
