Spray guns

Featured Replies

Hello, I have a Turbinaire HVLP system. I have a regular siphon gun and I have been using it a lot recently. They went out of business and the Finishing Store doesn't call you back or respond to emails. I need to replace the leather gland seals in my gun. Since this is the only gun that I have experience with and it looks like other spray guns, can I get the Apollo, Fugi, ect leather gland seals to replace the two in my gun? Is there someone out there with more experience with spray gun that answer this question?

Best regards

Ron

Sorry, no idea.

Ok, I ordered some from 2 places. I will report back here what I found out.

can you post a picture of what those seals look like?   not familiar with them at all.  :WonderScratch:

If they have set for long periods without being used you might try soaking them for a while then see if that helps.

Well, I ordered them from two companies and I think one of the gland seals may work. I have been using my gun to spray auto body finishes, 2k Primer, epoxy primer, color coat and clear coat. It worked well for this purpose but the gland seal was leaking diring the spaying of the 2K Primer. Before this I have only sprayed water based finishes from General Finishes. But the auto body finishes are urethane based.  I thoroughly cleaned the gun and the gland seals for the Turbinaire BNB gun are leather. I took it out and cleaned it the best I could and then had no problems. I may try the gland seal I received from Axis Air Group if and when I spray again in the spring.
