The first of Two Bhilwara Wood Bowls

Featured Replies

This morning I've started on the next two projects I've got lined up.  A couple of Bhilwara wood bowls.  Should look extremely nice.  I'm currently waiting on my assorted sand paper packs to arrive before I can even continue sanding on the outside of the bowl.  But it was extremely smooth going on the shaping of this bowl.  I've also worked out a new way of doing things as well when it comes to shaping.  If I have two of the same types of wood, I'll wait until both bowls are shaped and sanded on the outside until I swap the jaws to the cole jaws for finishing the bottoms.  It works quite well and I found its very efficient to do it this way.  There will be a second one in the works.  Now its just hurry up and wait for FedEx to deliever my assorted sand paper.  Had to run over and grab some 80 grit paper I wasn't going to wait on that one being delivered.

The second bhilwara wood bowl is shapping up quite nicely.  I still have to cut the tenons off and shape the bottoms on both bowls... But these two are just about finished.
