September 2, 20205 yr Popular Post You boys have any experience with the Harbor Freight brand ? I'm in the market for a small to medium size.....but nevermind the size. If you have one your happy with feel free to share. I'm not in the snap-on $$ market though ,...could do a little more than the HF but I'm not getting crazy.
September 2, 20205 yr Popular Post Co-worker has one medium size I am guessing. Only down side for our work is the latches lock when you close drawer. Great if you roll around alot, the drawers never fly open. Not so great for sitting on flat ground and wanting to get in quickly. Latch release is one side. Left side is on left, right drawer is on right. As far as holding up the paint has held up well. He has had it about a year. So for home use a great buy for what you pay. My work one is an old MAC plastic one with a toolbox I got from Grizzly attached to it. 30+ years still in great shape. Found a green one for our special price of free. Keep that one at home. Works great to roll your tools out work on a project and put back in shop.

September 3, 20205 yr Mine is from Costco, Gladiator brand and I've been happy with it. D'oh, just checked online and they don't have it there. I don't know if the stores have them any more or not. Some of their stuff is stocked sometimes and then they drop it.
September 3, 20205 yr Author Thanks for responses,.....kinda settling into this one. If the coupon works I can get it for $200. It's not huge but would be enough to get my work bench cleared up and also looks pretty mobile. I have a few HF items,...but have never seen there tool chest....in person...just haven't been in one in a while. https://www.harborfreight.com/30-in-5-drawer-blue-mechanics-cart-64031.html
September 4, 20205 yr Popular Post i have this one, and the top, and another set of them. space constraints....got mine on sale and couldn't find the tops anywhere, got hold of their customer service and not only got the tops on sale, but they had them shipped to me (no extra cost). came in the back of a semi and the guy even helped me unload and move them to the house. i like them a lot (i think they're better than my old Sears box which is currently living in the basement). loaded the heck out of them - come with drawer liner and top of chest cover. come with wheels in bottom drawer so you have to flip them over to bolt on (not a big problem), but i needed help to put the uppers on them.
September 4, 20205 yr Popular Post For those budget minded folks, look at garage sales, Craigslist, and Larry's favorite suggestion, "curb shop". Sometimes a little lubrication and touch up paint you have one that will last you many years.

September 4, 20205 yr The miracle is that it was paid for in cash. No payments. So today I owe nothing. Had a fantastic SnapOn dealer early in my career. Deals we're to be had back then. These new dealers. What a joke. Show up once every 5-6 weeks.

I don't have any snap-ons that I know of...but have several mechanic friends here in town. The snapon fella around here rounds every Thursday.......you can set your watch by him. If I ever want any I know where and what time to show up ,...........and if something comes up that I would use "A Lot",...I like nice tools and not saying I wouldn't spring for it...just depending.

Guess who gets money? You mean you're taking them to Ukraine ? No way you'll be dead in 3 years. Still might be worth the shipping charges from there.

September 4, 20205 yr Popular Post Actually, my first tool box in the garage is a home-made one out of pieces of stuff i had laying around. perhaps not the best use of resources, but it was inexpensive and served well for a long time. since it was thrown together, it's not all slick looking like that wood one they show and i mistakenly put 2" steel casters on it (thinking concrete floor, eh?)....
