Thanks for the welcome. Right now I am working on a plaque/bat holder for my daughter. She play college softball and has a wooden bat that has some of her favorite sayings on it. Her school colors are purple and gold. So I jointed a couple of pieces of Purple Heart. Yesterday laminated some Paudak and PH together. I am going to cut it in two and make the ‘holders’ with those. My next door neighbor is a professional artist and she is going to pain her school logo and mascot along with outline of Nashville (where she goes to school).

still working on my French cleat system and such.

i was going to post a pic of PH & Paduak but I can’t attach from ipad

Lol well I am a not profit so....

Hi and welcome :)

Welcome from near my old stomping grounds.  I grew up between Chattanooga and Cleveland, so I know about where you are.

I understand RN as registered nurse, but I don't understand RCIS.  Do you care to explain?  We may have medical questions for you.  :D

That is some very beautiful wood you posted a picture of.  You are in a great area for wood choices.  I don't know if there are any sawmills around there, but 60 years ago, they were everywhere.  So, if you find a tree that is being trimmed or cut down, grab all you can and take it to the sawmill.  You'll have more than you want and will be able to sell some.  That may be some income for you.  I, also, understand RIF.  I was contracted out and then told that they didn't need my programming service anymore.  I had just enough years and age to make the basic retirement.

You have found a great site.  Yes, we can help you spend money and many wonderful ideas with clear instruction on how to duplicate it.  We look forward to a long and warm relationship with you and yours.

Hey FlGatorWood. Funny I grew up in Fla bear St. Petersburg. Not many saw mills anymore.

Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist.

Really, I am good, no need for any invasion.  :D

Last doctor (some specialist in brainy stuff) informed me that the only way to verify my condition would be an autopsy.  :JawDrop:

Should have seen the look on his face when I asked it he could fit me in on Friday, and how long would it take, I had to be back at work by 1300.
