LOL That's what the good old 2x72 is for  I've done that multiple times ordered stuff that hasnt fit something, just grind it down a bit should work okay LOL.  I've got a few heavy duty ceramic belts that just chew metal like no tomorrow.  Many ways around that problem, unless its too thick and it can't be ground down then ya just wasted your money LOL.

Well before I decided to buy a lathe I was doing forging and blacksmithing trying out my hand at knife making until management told me I couldn't do it any longer so I swapped to wood working instead.  Either way the 2 x 72 should take care of it but the lock drop hole is about an inch or so I think and the tool rest piece is 7/8 or just a shy over or under.  So it should hopefully work out.
