April 30, 20206 yr Popular Post I know not everyone has access to these shows, presented by PBS. So, if you are bored, can't dance and it's too windy to haul rock- I give you http://wbgutv.org/americanwoodshop/index.html
April 30, 20206 yr I pulled of video and immediately started drooling just seeing the size of this shop!
May 1, 20206 yr Popular Post "Mr. Rogers visits the woodshop." And, honey, you have your own TV show, do you think I can get on and help you once in a while?
May 1, 20206 yr Thanks, @Lew. I love most PBS shows as well as HGTV and DIY. I have watched PBS since the World at War series in the 1970's. This barn raising is a great show and so are the Roy Underhill shows. Thank you, again.
May 1, 20206 yr Popular Post Scott lives just south of Lockington, OH. You can drive right by the place. been by there everytime I drive down from Sidney, OH....rather than take I-75 to go to Piqua, OH.

I don't think he;'s done anything new for the last couple of years. Kinda sad really.
May 2, 20206 yr Popular Post Yeah, seems his his last season was 2018. He started with PBS in 1979. He deserves a break.
May 3, 20206 yr Popular Post I met Scott many years ago. He did a demo on how to tune a band saw and then built a quick band saw box. Great guy. Remember his early shows. He basically introduced his wife into the shop.
May 3, 20206 yr Popular Post I remember Roy Underhill and his walk to the shop carrying his toolbox. He really brought you back to a generation before power tools. Always amazed me what he could do.

I never did get that impression, but he's always got a sense of humor and is joking around. The one that always struck me as full of himself is Frank Klausz. I met him once when he did a weekend class here.
May 4, 20206 yr Popular Post Roy Underhill is scheduled to be a presenter at the 2020 Handworks Show in Amana IA in Sept. To the best of my knowledge, the show is still going to take place. Danl
