An interesting short video.  

 

I do a lot of layering of color, in fact, most things.   Whether it's dye followed by a wiping stain, or wiping stain followed by a glaze.  I think it really makes a difference.

Interesting what layers of color will do to the final color. I cannot give the order but about 10 years I stained/glazed some ply to look like dark cherry and that was an interesting process which Steve Mickley talked me thru.
