April 19, 20206 yr Popular Post comment_225763 Finally have some time and supplies all in hand so I got started on adding a extra port for the gutter I installed off the storage shed. When I built the original system I thought ahead and made sure the flooring inside the storage area was removeable with cutting it open. Just unscrew and pull boards back up, then when done reinstall. That part worked well. Had to cut into the 3 inch PVC and add a junction as well as the add on leg. No real problems, just takes some time. Got it all done late last night about 2030. Decided to leave it in place and if weather was good remove gutter and paint them. Got a lot of gutter from neighbors house when he decided he hated cleaning them so took them down. Only parts I had to buy was 2x3 downspout, and a 10 ft section of 3 inch PCV pipe, seems I was 10 inches short on supply. Cost on project about $20. Glad I left the gutters up. We had some storm last night with heavy rain. Checked today no leaks. Next up is the deck boards outside. Have the lumber but this rain, forget it I ain't going out today. Report

But just like everyone else the machine needs a break. Get me together with some buddies and we start sharing stories, forget getting anything done.... Report
April 20, 20206 yr Popular Post comment_225787 Back in me single days, I had a 20 foot walk around boat. Used to chase the stripers and blues. My boss at the time loved to fish, as long as we were constantly catching fish. Well I never got that good as a skipper LOL. We’d go 20 minutes with no action, he’d start cleaning the boat. He told someone once that I didn’t know where the fish were. I replied that I only brought him fishing when the boat was dirty. Report

April 20, 20206 yr comment_225795 Just wondering Artie, where did you fish for the stripers and blues ? Pistatiqua river or Merrimack or somewhere else? Report

Al, I kept the boat at the marina on rte 1a on the Parker River. I went as far up the coast to Maine, just above the Isle of Shoals. And down the Annisquam river, to outside of Gloucester harbor. Most of the time I was in the Parker, or ocean front between the Merrimac, and Halibut Point off Rockport. If I can find my photos maybe I’ll bore everyone here with some pictures . Report

Don't know how you fared yesterday but we got about 5" according to the tv. I haven't checked my gauge yet. Those were some serious thunderstorms that rolled through. Report

It still needs painting but hey it can wait till monsoon season is over.. Sold the hot tub so I now have a 10x12 open room. Think I will work on couple tables and set this up as finishing area. Stay tuned. To borrow from @steven newman Report
