April 15, 20206 yr Popular Post Since all my other projects are in the finishing and drying stage I started on demoing and remodeling a 6’ X 8’ closet which I am turning into my reloading room. The first part was to repaint and then lay the flooring. The painting will have to wait due to the situation at HD so yesterday I laid the flooring which is solid bamboo flooring. Paul
April 18, 20206 yr Author Popular Post Productive day today. Got the cabinet carcasses in and sub counter done. Has particle board gotten heavier or just me older. Hmmm. Paul

April 18, 20206 yr Popular Post It Looks like you have a lot to reload and have got it going great, Good luck and by the way are those bullet proof walls or will you ask any body in the house to wait out side for a while each time you are working in there?
April 18, 20206 yr Popular Post I'm a handloader as well and am looking forward to seeing the final setup.
April 19, 20206 yr Author Popular Post Didn’t have that much time to spend on the project today but got the maple counter top on and the mahogany bullnose. Paul
April 24, 20206 yr Author Popular Post Yes it is. It is essentially the same dimensions as the shelving when it was a closet. The other factor was being able to remove that shelving unit so there is unobstructed access when needed. I finished trimming out the room, sanding and first coat of finish on ! Paul
April 24, 20206 yr How is that countertop supported in the back of the room? I can see some floor support on each end, but am curious about the part I don't see.
April 24, 20206 yr Author Popular Post It’s a monolithic type counter. It’s supported with the ledger on the back of the counter and the on the cabinets at each end. There are three layers, two of 3/4” particle board and one of 3/4” maple ply. Each layer is glued to the one below and cross laminated at the corners so no other support is needed. It is rock solid. April 24, 20206 yr Author Popular Post I needed to be able to slide my chair around the room unobstructed. Its a small room. It’s also a very quick and cheap way to get solid countertops. Paul
April 24, 20206 yr Popular Post As usual, excellent job, buddy! I really like the French cleats. Please show us them in use when you get the containers built.
April 27, 20206 yr Author Popular Post Nearing the end of this project. I still have to make the drawers. I finished gluing up the drawer sides today which is the hard part. I got the presses installed and all my components out of storage boxes and on the shelves. Getting close to making ammo. Paul
