January 31, 20206 yr They have a rather slick tenon maker with two blades It offers ability to purchase (or turn on your own lathe) inserts for smaller sizes. IT's over $200 So I got one and tried it and - - - sent it back. It's overly complicated, very difficult to get a good finish and nearly impossible to get consistent diameters. If I want close tolerances ( even for wood) it won't deliver. Or at least I was unable to get it to do so. Could be operator error. I had high hopes. I'll be working on a Gizmo to to it using a router or the table saw. I think that's the probable best route

February 1, 20206 yr Thanks Cliff. Looks similar to other round tenon tooling for making log furniture.
February 1, 20206 yr A couple questions Cliff. They advertise your linked tool as a dowel maker, not a tenon cutter. Are you using this tool as a tenon cutter? Also, what are you building that requires round tenons? Thanks.
