December 15, 20196 yr Popular Post comment_212504 Okay so I am no pro when it comes to terminology of types of turnings. Saw this somewhere and decided to give it a shot. Not sure what it is called but looks cool. Glued up two bases using a 1/4 threaded rod and some washers. Neighbor gave me four large 5 inch washers so I used them to keep the bottom surface clean and flat. I cheated on the bottom, since I already had to drive a 1/4 hole I went to the BS and used my circle cutting jig and rounded the edges off. Less time on the lathe roughing it out. This morning I removed it all from the rod and this is what I had before going to the lathe. And finally after a bit I had the 1st one done. Found a hole inside the other base and filled it up with epoxy so it gets turned tomorrow. Report
