Had a request for some fan pulls for a friend.  Needed 3 pairs and liked my idea for having a piece of white Corian on the bottom of one so you know which is the light.

Made short work of these on the lathe.

Now those are super.  Nice work.  Where did you get the little presentation boxes?  They appear to be plastic.  Did you glue in the foam?

Thanks, gave these Easy Woods Tools a good run, have another goblet stem to do tomorrow. It is being glued up currently.

I have 50 or so, they are storage boxes for detachable radio faces that were the rage 10-15 years ago.  We installed them at a recon facility but never gave up the boxes.:D

Those are nice.  Does the hardware come in a kit?

Yes, 3 pieces, one end cap solid, the other has a hole through it for the chain, and then a short chain.  If you don't like shiny chains this part can be replaced before you assemble.

Yeah, my friends want me to run a 3 wire and install separate switches for the light and fan. I think you have more fun, and your work presents much better :)

I installed recessed LED's for my friends Mother.  Separate switch from the fan and I put the lights where she wanted.  So now she still has the fan and light but when she comes in and hits the second switch she has light by the bed and her make-up desk thingy???

Like these very much!!

Those are super Gunny, and a great idea to give them a difference to make them even more better for use!

Those look great and the presentation boxes are a perfect fit. I have made a few fan pulls, but most fans now are wireless remote and no longer use chain pulls. I enjoyed making them too. Another lost art.

Very nice Gunny!

These look great. The idea of the white on the end to identify the light is a smart idea.

I like them.  Thanks you for sharing.   Danl

I’m not lost, I’m right here, on planet Claire, where I’ve always been.

How did you get there?  By Plymouth Satellite?  Boy, if that didn't bring back a few memories...:BugEyeSmiley:

That might also explain a few things about our good friend Artie:BitingNails:
