November 2, 20196 yr I agree with the Roman Numerals. I would prefer a black object behind the hollow numbers. My 2 cents.
November 2, 20196 yr Author That's a cuckoo clock face but I guess it would work on this thing also! Edited November 2, 20196 yr by Smallpatch

November 3, 20196 yr I guess that I am odd man out here. I like the regular numbers better. You are really going to town on this Jess, hope your clock face makes it before you finish. Which type of numbers did your ordered face have?
November 3, 20196 yr Author Cal I started out putting Roman dials on all my clock builds but over time I have switched to the Arabic. I now am leaning to the home made one and I might just hang it on the wall to keep little fingers from wanting to touch the hands. The cheapest route on clock inserts and quickest are the clock inserts which is all one unit with hands already on but most have plastic faces like the sizes I use. All you have to do is drill the correct size hole , put the battery in and shove it in . Its the lazy mans type. Funny for I don't use that type... Last night being the time for us to set the clocks back, the atomic movements changed at 7 PM but the Set And Forget movements changes at midnight I guess. It had not changed by 9 PM but when I got up it was on the correct time.. There is a model that uses 3 double A batteries and will go much longer before battery changing time. It has a chip that when new batteries are inserted it sets its self...That's what I used on the red mantle clock I just finished. I have 8 clocks in this room that I have to manually set and some might go a month or two before I get around to it. Wooden Teddy Bear catalog has the cheapest clock inserts and I think the 3 1/2" size still sells for about 7.25. The ones I use has glass lens and are about 25.00 about to 33.00 plus freight. Teddy Bear charges freight also but seems more reasonable on their freight.. When I build the hanging type with the wrought iron my wife cuts the glass for me.
