Jögge Sundqvist, or surolle as he’s known, is a craftsman through and through. As a wood worker and woodcarving artist he has become famous for his impressive ornaments and beautiful carved objects. He chisels out stools, chairs, knives, cupboards, spoons and trays, tablets, sculptures and word boards.

Probably, no shop time today. If everything falls into place, we'll be getting our mini splits installed today. I gotta supervise.:D

Met for dinner with my siblings Saturday and had a great time.  Did some shop cleaning and organizing better known as "puttering around" in the shop.

Still hiding.

Just five more days, Bob.

Gotta work and then errands tonight. We need food. No work on carport tonight.

It is Monday..leave it at that...Uncle Charles started the morning with a bang....doubt if I will do any puttering around in the shop....

Well, I probably won't cut any wood, but I did pull some out of the pile. I desperately need 2 new desks for in the house, and one will be oak (the second will probably be cherry). So I'm doing the oak one first, kind of a craftsman style. Anyway, I bought these boards (I think they are white oak, I'll confirm later) when I was driving home from a week long hunting trip. I've probably had them for 12-15 years or more. This guy was selling them out of the back of his truck, and I think I paid $20 (or $30) each. They are all a little over 1" thick, and the one on the left is 18" wide (6 1/2 'long), then 2 of them are 15" wide, and the narrow one is 11". This is all flat sawn, but it has to be used. So today is just thinking things through, it will probably be later this week before I start machining them.

Spent all morning with 4 other guys sorting out a 20' wall of disorganized parts and hardware.  We got it all sorted, labeled, and threw out what was of no use.

Brad (who sometimes comes by when he's out of a job and does repairs/assembly) came by and said, "What happened to all the colored plastic bins?"  I said we didn't have a use for them and just threw them out.  He said, "Oh, I need something to put stuff in while I work on stuff and don't have time to sort it.  I just kinda of put it over there and take out what I need."

I sighed as he went out to the dumpster to rescue the plastic bins.   I think we will label it, "Brad's Unsorted Crap."   Or maybe just "Brad's Junk"

Sorta thought our organization would last longer than that.

I think Brad and I would hit it off right away.

As we are coming to the end of September here in Bowling Green KY, the humidity is starting to decrease so that I can actually breath in the garage and do some work to get things done. It was still in the mid 80's, but not having the humidity is a real breath of fresh air. Table saw all tuned up. Put together a rolling metal cart from Harbor Freight for putting on my Ridgid planer and disk/belt sander and store some other stuff underneath. It was a whole lot cheaper than buying lumber/plywood/wheels from Home Depot. I do miss having a 3 car garage, but I will survive.
