July 22, 20196 yr Popular Post Not much, it was too dang crazy between the , , and more until mid afternoon Saturday when another came through and cooled things down about 30°!!! It actually got so hot one of the tires on the garden trailer blew!
July 22, 20196 yr Had a woodturners meeting Saturday. Plans to continue work on offering plates. Plus starting to turn mushrooms and hollowforms for sales.
July 22, 20196 yr I laminated a piece of red oak over a piece of walnut and planed the oak to 1/4 inch. I have a friend that bought a Carvewright system but doesn’t “do” computers so it sits in my shop. At $2000, the Carvewright is a poor mans CNC router. I cut the letters into the walnut to get the effect.
July 22, 20196 yr Just like every other exciting Monday. Woke up (that's the good part). Went outside...in the rain. Drove to repair place to have tire repaired (no cost; just the inconvenience but they were very good about working me into a full day schedule. Rain gave up - drove to eye dr office to get new lenses put in current frame (she wasn't too happy about that - lots of extra work). Drove over to see a (very) skilled motor rebuilder about getting my septic aerator rebuilt and spent some time wasting his morning talking about old tools. After i finished drooling i left to make a long trip home (detours and all). needed nap.
