Found her sitting on wife's dresser and she told me she wants a few twins if that's possible... funny how wooden angels can talk....Well I have all the ingredients here and there and I might throw in a real rock instead of the wood she stands on...So why not since I got to drink about 60 bottles of GA so this project will take a break while I get my tongue red four or five times a day for a few days so I can get started on these angels twins...

I will turn on my Dremel tonight so it will be good and warm in the morning when I start slinging wood chips on my clean floor...I even just restocked my used up roll of bailing wire with a fresh new roll so hey....

I just last week had to saw up some fallen large tree limbs the wind done knocked down so these mesquite thingys are fixin to be turned into angels.

Also I got a few patterns for carving projects laying on the table saw so don't know which will get the most attention to start with...

I did take a break this morning and watched the women's soccer finals and it was a great game, well better for the American rooters anyway.

I just spent a half day posting pictures and 14 pages of starting the carving procedure but I clicked off to go to the shop for a while and when I came back to post it ,,,, it has disappeared. John Morris did you change things. It use to be great for the way us absent minded could click the wrong but at the wrong time and all that typing would still be there somehow?

I didn't change anything Jess sir. That feature you are talking about is actually a fall back just in case type of feature, not to be relied on for the purpose of coming back for editing later. So sorry Jess! It's only an emergency backup that should work most the time, but there is the risk it may not.

John it has always worked . I could get through typing and then stop to eat so before I entered it as a post I could recheck the spelling and see if I needed to change or add anything. But now once I click on to the weather or somewhere else then go back to what I was typing, it ain't there, everything has disappeared. I thought you had come up with the very most helpful thing for someone who might be forgetful like me and I instead of hitting the post button I left the site... I make those mistakes more all the time...but thinks anyway...I will try to do lots of thinking before I touch anything, I hope.

I started by trying to trace some lines for the band saw to follow and only leave enough wood to grind in to the areas I'm searching for?? but I didn't leave enough for the hair do the girl has so change is in store..450888064_2019-07-0800_26_33.jpg.199d44a7de8d229f8c053513f2762b95.jpg

Next I switched over to the Dremel and small bits but still ruffing in trying to end up with something I can recognize.1436128718_2019-07-0800_27_00.jpg.5ee690947c1a5e640d5ce9789051f1f7.jpg  915942291_2019-07-0801_30_01.jpg.f20147bb6c60553cf5ee8f9188e47280.jpgI am using maple instead of what the real carvers like to use and they usually prefer soft wood.

I am kinda like a kid in the first grade not knowing anything about what I am doing and scared to touch the wood because I have no experience doing any of this....my kind a carving usually starts with a scroll saw.

I'm like a kid opening presents at Christmas for I am anxious to see what she will look like...right now I'm seeing someone from Holland playing around those windmills838035982_2019-07-0808_11_33.jpg.bcd730e060db057c689edab895387576.jpg1184576694_2019-07-0808_32_20.jpg.a17f2bb5dcf74ffa7508b79e131823b8.jpg

This is actually fun to do and I think I could get perfect grades as long as the models have veils on their faces like in overseas somewhere..1391755006_2019-07-1022_42_46.jpg.3e55e4aa85df9fcc6b80810f57b2a710.jpg

I'm fixin to go back and put her under the knife again for the 100th time and see how I can change her face…trial and error should at least give me one I can be happy with..

I traced around the wire wings she came with to go with some wood wings....Tracing around wire is another trip.872706005_2019-07-1022_44_23.jpg.e1052c19397866c2fa7196ee599128f9.jpg

I forgot about half the lines and had to go back freehanded
