Glad I did this. Found quite a few things to be done differently. Namely, make it smaller and forget the glasses. Use 3/8" material for the lid and bottom and, 1/2" box joints. 

 Now, it's time for a conversation with the mesquite.

 

Gene it will stay straighter with the BB and won't weather crack.

That's a nice PROTOTYPE.  But it needs some field testing....

True but that was only a single test.  Field testing requires multiple uses over a period of time. 

 

Send me a case of that stuff with the box, I will give it a good testing.....
