April 19, 20197 yr Popular Post Well I said I would post some spindles I had turned so here’s a couple of handles and a mallet. I don’t expect the mallet to last. Well not the head anyway. I plan on replacing it with a brass one once I get enough brass to melt. Edited April 19, 20197 yr by Mijohnson1984 I have horrible English and I forgot words.
April 19, 20197 yr Nice. Hope you post some pics and a how to when you do the brass head, that sounds pretty interesting.

April 20, 20197 yr Author The rock maple would be nice but I need a brass knocker for setting irons. But that might be to big for that anyway. I’ve melted plenty of aluminum and glass for various things. Brass shouldn’t be to different. Just need to make some new green clay for a mold.

I sanded her up with micro mesh because I’m going to work on learning French polishing technique. Figured I’m going to be putting some abuse to it so I don’t care if it doesn’t look great. So why not practice on it. Rather mess up on that then on a finished project.
