Have had this sander for 15 years.  Great sander, works well, never an issue.  I like the larger rectangular top verses the other rounder or oval.  Only issue I can say I have would be typical of all models I have seen.  To consolidate space they put the tools and extra sanding rods around the perimeter of the sander.  great idea, BUT I have rarely seen anyone's picture of one where the entire sander can be accessed on all sides.  Mine has been against a window for years.  Moved it this week and still has same problem.  The tools are on the back.  So you have to reach blind over the top to get them out.  Had enough of this.  Made a small box, painted it green for Grizzly and laid out the tools so I have easy access to them when needed, minus the yoga act to do so.

No special joints, I used a drawer I displaced on the last project and sized it as needed.  The top is a the same thing, another drawer cut down to size and fitted.  Hinge was left over from same project so I have no money in this just some time.

Great solution. Can't beat the cost either. My kind of project.

Only if it is a box or drawer.  Any horizontal surface is fair game for "I'll get back to that later pile".
