I glued up the wooden blocks yesterday for a new plane mock-up. Today I shaped it. It has a coat of shellac on it to see if there are any humps or bumps I need to sand out before I finish it.

W/o the medallion, it's just a plain, plane...Is that plain about the plane?

Herb, would  you consider selling some of those planes to me.  I am looking for a jointer plan, and everything else down to my small palm plan for cross grain chamfers.

Your work is outstanding and highly regarded and want what  you build in my shop.
