You need to be dead center... You do not cut into four parts, you start with four same size parts. Then when you turn the parts and reglue for final turn is the easiest place to mess this up . If you turn one wrong way or do not get all outside corners into the center The alignment here must be perfect.
December 27, 20196 yr All the inside out items I made starts out whole. After I turn my part the first then cut it into 4 parts and flip them. Different ways to do the same job....

Different ways to do the same job.... I have seen them done that way but have never tried it. Either way it is done, accuracy is key. The 90° blade setting is a must from start to finish. The blank must be perfectly square to start. The four quarters method allows for smaller stock to be used which is a real plus.
