February 3, 20197 yr Popular Post As the title says...bit of a test, to see how the new photos do in the new computer...haven't found the "resize" button,...yet...these may be a tad big? Ok..found that button....all these USED to be 3/4" thick scraps of Ash...ran them through the resize station.. Left a tad between the halves...bandsaw to remove that. Was trying for 1/2" thick...might be closer to 3/8"...lid for a box? had cleaned and packed up the Stanley 45.. Screwdrivers? Have a few, for use on this plane.. Little "Chef's hat" is a Goodell-Pratt, Round ball is a Millers Falls....others you might know...I did buy a new sander, today To replace the B&D one that is having bearing issues....looks like I did a bit of saw work.. Saw makes a fuzzy style of saw dust...might be the blade... Get these flattened out, and made into sides for a box, or two? Let me know, how these turn out, size-wise...

Does look like it has good ergonomics and vi BTW, you passed the test. Pictures all look good. You're light years ahead of me using WIN10...
February 4, 20197 yr Author Lowes. Sitting right beside the Dewalt, and the B&D ones.....didn't like the look of the DeWalt....B&D is just like what I just threw out.
February 4, 20197 yr Just seems weird after all these years, Craftsman at Lowe's. OTH, Lowe's wouldn't be selling them of they didn't believe in them. Dust bag(box) is a nice feature. My 1/4 sheet is a B&D-Contractor. I purchased it when 1/4 sheet sanders first came out. Pretty sure I bought it at Furrow Lumber so that dates it a bit. I've replaced the base pad once.
February 4, 20197 yr Popular Post Yup, it is Ok ,you have the same number of boards in the first picture as you do in the last one. Herb
February 4, 20197 yr @steven newman, looks like you got Win10 to work. Pics are great. I used to have a few screwdrivers like the wooden handled one at the bottom of your picture. Ya know, they don't take to hammers all that well.
February 7, 20197 yr Author Dad seemed to get a new set of those almost every Christmas... Have to get ME back to working....4 hour Gall Bladder surgery tuesday...just got home a little bit ago....Took a LONG time to get all the mess out....might be a few days before I get to moving too well..
February 7, 20197 yr Popular Post @steven newman, Good to see that you're back home, safe and, almost sound. I'll bet you'll be back in the dungeon by tomorrow...if not this afternoon. Pushing a plane might be iffy, though. Edited February 7, 20197 yr by Gene Howe
February 7, 20197 yr Popular Post I had that done several years ago. After you heal up you will be good as new , but take it easy on the stomach muscles ans let them heal good. Herb
February 7, 20197 yr Hello Steve Be sure to take it easy, especially with the ab muscles. Complications will keep you down and out even longer. Have Mama rub your back and make you a nice cup of coffee!! hat

Well that certainly took a lot of gall didn't it. Oh wait, I guess it really did...and "they" took it... Glad all is better now and you're back home..take all the time you need getting healed up...don't rush intl anything and Oh, BTW, no fried foods for a while Take care and rest this time please!
February 8, 20197 yr Popular Post So sorry that you had to have this surgery. Hope you heal completely and quickly. Now, with parts missing, are you all there? How does this work now?
February 8, 20197 yr Popular Post Had that done a couple years ago and the one hour operation took 2 1/2 . Sounds like you had the same rough route I did. Just rest and give it time to heal . Glad it all came out good.

Take it easy for awhile Steve. I had mine taken out a few years ago but they took mine out by scope.
