Danl Posted December 29, 2018 Report Posted December 29, 2018 I friend sent me these pics and asked for help. What does she need to do to remove the water stains from her table top? Danl Quote
Gene Howe Posted December 29, 2018 Report Posted December 29, 2018 From Readers Digest. "To remove white rings left by wet glasses on wood furniture, mix equal parts vinegar and olive oil and apply it with a soft cloth while moving with the wood grain. Use another clean, soft cloth to shine it up. " Cal and Artie 2 Quote
Ron Dudelston Posted December 30, 2018 Report Posted December 30, 2018 White rings are caused by moisture. Cover the ring with a dry towel and lightly iron over the ring. Don’t leave too much heat on it and it will disappear. Done it several times. Artie and Cal 2 Quote

Popular Post kmealy Posted December 30, 2018 Popular Post Report Posted December 30, 2018 (edited) There are a whole lot of home remedies. I've done many like this professionally, many quite worse. What I use is Jasco or Homax stain remover cloths. The only difference between them is the name and color of the packaging. It will make the surface a bit glossy, so you may have to do the whole top. Alternately, you can spray on some touch up lacquer when done to get the sheen of choice. It has some tallow acids (fatty acid) so it leaves the surface a bit oily, clean off with some Guardsman furniture polish or a cloth dampened with naphtha. Available a lot of places like the big box stores, Wal*mart, etc. Sorry for the absence, getting a brief break from hectic life.
