Another VERY nice one, Jesse.  Did they have an addition?

Fantastic, if I was techno-savvy, there would be an emoji of me bowing in awe!

It sure looks nice. I am betting you carved this, but I have to ask. Was it done by a CNC?

Cliff I do have a few clocks with encrusted jewels. My jewels comes from HL which makes them easier on the pocket book. I actually used real fake diamonds.

This will help is seeing my progress with the scroll saw on the picture of the clock. I cut the pieces in to smaller pieces so I can hold them in my hands while I do the carving with the Dremel..IMG_0014.JPG.166146ca0b9018a7544e972944bc8b6e.JPGIMG_0033.JPG.f299c9db2d7bd0b85cff527eb4b69ff6.JPG

All the white colors on the pattern is what I added to the original pattern before I started sawing them in to smaller pieces..

I have copied hundreds of carvings from all over the internet and are saved for later use and when I need to add something I look for something of similar shape and add it is and sometimes I have to stretch or shrink things to fit.. You have to ad live most of the time and that is whats fun...

I have Rapid Resizer so I can make things larger or smaller to fit any size. Its actually a program for wifes stained glass workings but it fits in to wood working great...I use a piece of baltic birch plywood attached to the back of the wood to be carved. Then after I cut out the entire outside of the clock I take off the backer board before I start sawing the clock in to smaller manageable pieces... This way I will have something to glue it all back together on to after all the carving has been done and all the pieces have been stained and finished...

Gene no new additions. When I made the first wall hanger for them I was never real proud of the shape I made it so its been eating on me for a few years now. Like I always say, the builder is the first person who should be happy so I will get it back to hang on our wall..... as there are not many outsiders will ever see it...It will also remind me to think things over before the saws are turned on..

Is your carving dust flying yet?? Show me something.
