Danl
My son is remodeling his basement and is planning to use Kraft faced fiberglass insulation. Does he need to install a barrier between the insulation and inside of the exterior wall? Danl
Stick486
I never use FG insulation in a basement... moisture and and mold may become a serious issue later... VOE Put up a closed cell (extruded) polystyrene.. https://www.homeconstructionimprovement.com/basement-wall-insulation-detail/ frame the wall and insulate if you wish.. do it Mooney wall style... Michael Thuman
Check out this web site. This solution is better than just polysterene becuase you have to cover that with a thermal barrier of 10 minutes or drywall. This stuff is awesome. https://www.insofast.com/explore/project-prep-before-you-install-insofast.html
