I already have a bandsaw for my Smitty. So I don't need two. Really no market for these, but it is a cool saw. May just give it away to someone who wants to tinker.

You can't be a re-gifter...you were chosen...this is a sign...must find room in the inn. It's time you started a re-furb thread in Old Arn. It already works so your over 1/2 way there. OK @Larry Buskirk...need to start coaching this young grasshopper in the joy, art and satisfaction of old arn restoration...he's in your hands now.
November 3, 20187 yr Author We'll, in this case regifting is appropriate. Lady told me, she don't care what the heck I do with it, as long as I get it out of her garage otherwise she was gonna put it on the curb for the large item trash pick up. She was just glad it's gone and she has more room to park her car. I just couldn't bear to see it go to the dump. So I brought a stray dog home along with a few other stray machines she was going to set out. I found homes for them. I wish I had time to restore but I just don't. So, there is a young boy son of co worker who is getting into Woodworking, he loves to tinker, quite the young genius actually, he may just end up with this relic.

Alright since I couldn't shame you into keeping it, you did do the most honorable and thoughtful act by paying it forward and finding the right home for it. Having taken this approach just might open a door for you to further mentor the young lad in the art of ww'ing. Besides, you may have infected the next generation of old 'arn collectors. He better start saving now for a large warehouse... Edited November 5, 20187 yr by Grandpadave52

( approx. 6.5'X20') John's featured photo in todays Monday post is what I'm aiming for. Smaller machines on a line-shaft setup. Who knows the kid might become one of the new " Master's of old ARN " Maybe us " Old Farts " will be facing some tough competition!!
