I do like the color of this one. You must have a bucket full of ply cutoffs.

My daughters got me a bunch for Christmas. I am slowly depleting my supply

Has anyone ever turned OSB?

Herb

Yes, I have. It is a bigger challenge and when done, don't look good. I'll see if I have a picture of what I turned, prob tossed it.

That is beautiful Ron. I have not heard of blue ply or any other color ply.

I have not heard of blue ply either Ron, but that is gorgeous!

And I think the glue turning blue just adds to it.  What do you finish it with?

Rocklers and Woodcraft both carry a large supply of multi colored wood and acrylic blocks. Both in sizes for turning pens and larger ones for other turnings.

After sanding and using 0000 steel wool, I use Hut friction finish. After it drys I spray with Rustoleum 2x clear spray. The spray tends to fill the tiny holes that the ply sometimes has.

Thanks for the Rustoleum 2X tip, Ron. I'll be trying it.
