September 6, 20187 yr I bought some really nice walnut on eBay. The grade is S4S, 3/4" thick, 7 1/2" wide, and 4' long. I little bit of it has some nice grain. I paid $7.24 a BF including shipping. I think I got a fair deal but I don't really know. The last walnut I bought was $5.35 a BF and it was steamed and quite frankly it looked like you know what. I am having to stain this walnut to get it to look like walnut. That is a bummer. https://www.ebay.com/sch/shutrbug3/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=

Whatcha' making with it Hawkeye? Dave, I don't know what I will make of it. I just wanted to have some good walnut laying around so when I got a wild hair to make something I will have it.

The customer picks his pieces, the owner cuts it to fit whatever the buyer's truck or car will take and quotes a price. The last load I got was all live edge, 2" and 3" thick, and half filled the bed of my 250. I paid $70. He's got pistachio and pecan but I've not bought any. Maybe next time.
