If the second one appears to be the hardened material, it should be easy to make it work...so at least I'd have 2 new rear hangers. Thanks for the help. Helping each other is one of the good parts of participating in this forum. Glad it worked out for you.
August 9, 20187 yr Author So here's the end of the story. I got the parts from McFarlane's along with the hardened all-thread and coupling nuts from McMaster. The second part from McFarlanes that I thought would work will not Turned out he didn't exactly describe it correctly). Not a big deal. Anyway I installed the one new one, and refitted the other with the hardened materials. I have enough stuff left over (including the second damaged OEM L bolt) to make another should need be. So while it didn't come out as perfect, it's awfully danged close, and I won't have to be looking at mowers for a while. Edited August 9, 20187 yr by Fred W. Hargis Jr

Don't let me forget to give it a look in a couple weeks, take some pictures and get dimensions. I need the visualization & touch to absorb in my brain. I'm confident we can find an alternative manufacturers part somewhere.
August 9, 20187 yr Author Actually, I now have a bent one (it was on the mower) I can photograph. Maybe I'll try to get a pic tomorrow if I get a chance. I was able to straighten it enough to use, it's now my "spare".
