Hey, @Steve Krumanaker, would something like this be of use to you as a pattern or template in your pyrography work?  Might be hard to wrap a picture around a bowl, but I thought you might be interested in the idea.  Although, you do such beautiful work on your own, you probably don't need this.

This method might work for curved surfaces.

 

 I tried this a couple of years ago and it didn't work well. I did some research on it and it works great, but it depends on the type of printer and ink it came from.

Hi Tom, thanks for thinking of me. It looks like it has great potential and if it works would definitely have benefit to me. In case you've never noticed, I don't actually do pictures, the reason being, I can't draw worth a lick. Most everything I do is a pattern which only involves a few repetitive lines. If I ever desire to put an actual picture on a piece I would absolutely need something like this.
