Just made some IPAD,TABLET,Clip Board holders. Walnut Spalted Alder, spray shellac finish.

 

They are a little large. didn't know the size of the devices as I don't use them. 9X12, tilted @20 degrees.

 

I am working on some smaller ones now.

just a triangle to tip the keyboard up towards you...

make the angle/elevation height adjustable...

 

Really nice Herb.  I think what Stick is referring to is a regular computer keyboard.

Aren't most i Pads and, similar devices, of the touch screen variety? With an on screen keyboard.

then I could quit using a roll of duct tape to get the tip/tilt I like...

the one I saw was two pieces of ply piano hinged together w/ locking lid stays for angle adjustment..

Hmm...my object in getting the Kindle was for portability and convenience. My lap top is for those other times when convenience isn't desired. Besides, my typing skills are on a par with my skill in using a stylus. That is to say almost nil.

Back to the original subject..... Nice work, Herb! I have no idea what you do with them, but they sure LOOK GOOD!

Thanks John, I don't either, maybe put my clipboard in one for typing on the computer. I will have to find someone with a tablet and see if they can use it. To tell the truth I was just trying to see what the wood looked like, I have got a bunch,and need to find projects for it.

Well you certainly accomplished that...the woods look fantastic especially together! I especially like the angled edges of the joined woods; makes the contrast more striking.

 

As for tablets holders/cases, most of ours are similar to the pictures below; allows to be set on a chair arm, lap, bed etc. to view plus provides some degree of portability & secure storage when not in use. Your's would be much better for use in the shop as many do like to use a tablet for plans or a resource tool while working.

 

     

Thanks, that looks very versatile, mine was more aimed at the kitchen for the cook to use internet recipes, or desktop, or for  setting to an internet music website similar to a radidio.

Dave, they were supposed to be square,but I grabbed the wrong framing square, the roof framing square that is set on a permanent 1 1/2- 12 roof pitch.
