After the nasty weather, I had a wood you day. I'd start out with a wood project and hear a knock on the door of my shop/garage. The knock keeps me from jumping if she would just walk in.  "Would you do this"  (she spells it differently) I know what is coming. She has stock piled a list, but only starts with a simple chore. Then when I'm in the middle of that simple chore,  she says "while your are at it" then adds several other things. This developed into painting lawn chairs and redoing most things on the patio. It was a nice day, so I didn't mind that much. Then she said,"I don't like that color like I thought I would."  I said "ok, YOU go to Home Depot, YOU select the color, YOU come back and YOU paint it.

She stayed with the original color..............Happy......Happy........Happy:)

Perfect!

they are sly on the while you're at it trap

I fell for it once and now I've been married for 27 years

Such a statement might not have worked so well for me!

Mine came back from the beauty shop yesterday and I realized how lucky I am. Hopefully all the guys out there feel the same about their other half!!!

Usually when something is mentioned for me to do things for her is when we are both working on MY projects.  I had dug up part of the lake water line going to a couple of faucets over in the corner of the yard I never needed so I just capped the line and un screwed both water hydrants and left . But while digging ditches with the back hoe I never know when to stop diggin...so after I got the new pump going on the dock, I decided to dig up the damaged  pvc and reconnect those two hydrants....with her just getting over back surgery and me peeing blood when trying to do too much, we both are operating at a snails pace but at least something is getting done.......so when she suggest something for me to do is actually something I should have done months ago....Like in 2010 we remodeled a

bathroom but two weeks ago I finally got the rest of the base boards cut to size and painted.........Still not attached to the wall yet but hey, all pieces are there leaning in their positions. Now all I got to do is find an air tank.  Amazing how many 23 gage pins.........a 10 gal air tank can install!!

I get along great with mine, I went to the Veterans Cemetery and visit her every once and awhile.

Herb

Wife cooks and quilts. I hang out in the shop. We get along fine.
