Saw Hook for my Pull Saw

I still say a scroll saw would still be the better tool for the dowel cutting plus sometimes I want to cut a 1/4" or 5/16" dowel down the middle to use as trim around small draws to add a little extra raised wood edge thingy.296495387_IMG_20220126_165627371sawingadoweldownthemiddle.jpg.c7e938a90cff29b91447c68ca24330fd.jpg

plus a scroll saw can make some awfully good looking names and things1929054246_IMG_7927scrollsawnames.JPG.765d885563fa8a9eaa09e0f46e254bc4.JPG

Maybe you want to expand your ability working with wood!

Can anyone slice a 1/4" dowel down the middle unless they do it with a scroll saw?

I believe I could with a 1/8" blade on the bandsaw. I know it can be done with a laser.

I'd have used the bandsaw too.  Screw it to a carrier board to keep it the same plane and stop before hitting the screw.
