February 21, 20188 yr Woodpeckers is running a sale on the Bora circular saw guide, both the four piece and the five piece sets. I'm considering this, but, according to the Amazon web site, these items have mixed reviews. I really can't justify the cost of a track saw. Has anyone had any experience with this system? I could make my own guides, but then I would need three different sets, as I have three circular saws with different widths between the blade edge and edge of the plate. Any thoughts?
February 21, 20188 yr junk.. fragile.. flexes... clamp slips... and on and on... go to Peachtree and get theirs.. https://www.ptreeusa.com/clamp_progrip.htm Edited February 21, 20188 yr by Stick486
February 21, 20188 yr Tom, I built my own using Peachtree's 8' T track and matching insert. Then, dedicated one of my saws, the Skil 77, to track work. Also, built a couple shorter ones for cross cuts. Same saw.

Seldom need it. But, it would be easy to make. A large plate/base with the insert mounted outboard? Sure would be more secure than riding the stock base against a straight edge.

They talk about it, but don't offer a link to order it, or an item number for it. At least, I didn't see it. Could you sometime post a picture of your t track assembly?

February 21, 20188 yr I have had a couple in the past, never had good luck with the holding power of those plastic clamping devices. I prefer the old sled and C clamp type. Herb Edited February 21, 20188 yr by Dadio

I only mentioned t track because I thought your post was in response to Gene's post about t track. I'm not locked in to using t track. I am still curious what Milwaukee 7 inch and 10 inch product you are referring to. If I can build one jig that I can adapt to more than one saw, I'm all for it. OK, now I see your previous post. I missed it before. I'll try to put all that together in my head. Thanks. Edited February 21, 20188 yr by PostalTom Responded before seeing all the posts.

February 21, 20188 yr Tom, just out of curiosity, why do you want a track to handle 3 different saws?
February 21, 20188 yr Author Because, I don't have a lot of room, and sometimes one saw is more convenient than another to cut up a sheet of plywood. One of my saws has the blade on the left, one on the right, and the Ridgid is cordless. I would just like the option to set it up whatever way looks easiest.

February 22, 20188 yr You could do 2 saws with one jig by cutting one side for one and then other side for the second or one side saw and other side router (the more traditional method). As for the clamps they sip easily and you must be careful when using them to keep the contact positive.
