Which Frued blade would be comparable to the Forest WoodworkerII?

Dan, IMHO, none.

All of mine need sharpening but I have an old 410 series and it is great. I also have the glueline rip which is also good. These are at 20 years old and I have never used a Forest so cannot actually compare. Do not worry too much about the saw blades since I mostly turn so I can turn away saw marks. Yes I am a baaad boy and should have sharpened them years ago.

still PO'd at Freud over your arbor issues Gene???...

Like Stick said it's the 400 series, a Freud F410. I have one that's probably 20 years old, along with a WWII (that's not quite that old) and I can't tell the difference between them as far as cutting performance goes.

Naw, I'm over it now that those red blades outta the shop.

Should have let me know sooner, Gene I would have taken them off your hands, I love my red blades. But then again I don't do as fine of work as you do.

Those rifle cases you build are top shelf.

Herb, you're full of beans. Your work is outstanding.

As to the blades, No doubt Freud makes some good blades. They just don't cut... ON MY SHOPSMITH... as well as the Tenryus do.

As a matter of fact I did fill up on chile last night, wonder how you knew..

Hmmmmmmmm, I went looking for the 410 series just to compare prices.  I couldn't find the 410 available anywhere . The 412 is still available.  Actually, the only 40 tooth combo Freud blades I found were thin kerf blades. Am I missing something ?

Thanks Herb. The price comparison is ;  Freud $87.99, Forrest $188.95. Is one Forrest blade worth more than 2 Freud blades.I compared the prices on Amazon.

My answer would be a definite maybe.

One thing about this discussion, I didn't know Feud had such a variety of blades, seems like there is a blade for every type of cut and saw, not like it used to be ,one blade does all.

Thanks all.  The Forest blade I have now wasn't the quality I was expecting.  I want to give Freud a try.

Maybe it needs a trip to the saw shop, might be $15.00 well spent and sane you a bunch on a new blade.
